YUKI KOBAYASHI
Yuki Kobayashi is an interdisciplinary visual and performance artist. He received BA from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2014 and MA from Royal College of Art in 2016, founded and organises Performance Platform “Stilllive” since 2019. Kobayashi explores the neutrality of gender and questioning racial stereotypes, looking into human relations, the resonance between restriction and fluidity in time and space with using his own body. His action-based performance seeks to reveal the authenticity of the human condition, working with the unexpected and the spontaneous to discover the invisible. Questioning both power and restrictive social codes towards a more uncertain world of freedom and equality. Kobayashi has been invited internationally to the exhibition, festival, theatre, film and residencies such as MMCA (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) (Seoul 2021), CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) (Hong Kong, 2023), Taipei Fine Arts Museum (Taiwan, 2024), The Watermill Center (New York, 2024). He received Asian Cultural Council (ACC) Individual Fellowship Visual Art Grant Award in 2023. In 2024, He was awarded as Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung-fu Instructor from Ving Tsun Athletic Association in Hong Kong, and also started his career as a Martial Artist.
小林勇輝（現代美術家・パフォーマンスアーティスト）2014年セントラル・セント・マーチンズ・カレッジ・オブ・アート・アンド・デザインで学士号、2016年ロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アート（英国王立芸術学院）で修士号を取得、2019年よりパフォーマンス・プラットフォーム 「Stilllive 」を設立。自身の身体を中性的な立体物として用い、性や人種的な固定概念に問いかけ束縛や流動性を表現する。また自由と平等の不確かな世界を制限的な社会的コードを疑い人間の存在意義を探る学際的パフォーマンス作品を発表。MMCA（国立現代美術館、ソウル、2021年）、CHAT（Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile、香港、2023年）、台北市立美術館（台湾、2024年）、ウォーターミル・センター（ニューヨーク、2024年）など、展覧会、フェスティバル、演劇、映画、レジデンスなど国際的に招聘されている。2023年アジアン・カルチュラル・カウンシル（ACC）個人フェローシップ、ビジュアルアーツ部門受賞。2024年香港の詠春體育会、袁炎強詠春國術曾より詠春拳インストラクターを授与され、武術家としても活動を始める。
